ABOUT

Born in 1988, Benjamin Legrand-Hôte is a french photographer based in Paris.
Dedicated to portrait fine art photography, his creative journey is fueled by a fascination with Clair-Obscur—the art of using light to emerge from the darkness. Suffering from synesthesia, he aim to silence the noise of the everyday thanks to black and white or desaturated colors. He craft images that bridge the gap between classical painting and contemporary photography.

Artist statement

« In my studio, the world falls away. By working exclusively with dark, minimalist backgrounds, I invite my subjects to step into a space of quiet reflection. My goal is to create portraits that feel like heirlooms—images that carry the weight and beauty of a classical oil painting while remaining deeply personal. Whether you are a fellow artist or someone looking to see themselves in a new light, I invite you to join me in creating something timeless."
